Insights from the Other Side: Alvin's Journey

I recently had an incredibly interesting psychic medium session with Eleonora about her husband, Alvin, who passed away a few years ago. Alvin was a dedicated spiritual seeker during his lifetime, always striving to understand and live from a place of enlightenment. I'd met him a few times over the years when he accompanied Eleonora to my live "A Night Out With SAM" events, and I even ran into them at the movie theatre more than once in the popcorn line—they loved going to movies together!

Alvin came through for almost a full hour of Eleonora's session. It was fascinating: I could hear him clearly in my right ear, while my guides chimed in from my left. Eleonora, eager to learn, asked him for stories, wanting to know what he'd seen and what he was learning on the other side.

Alvin's Profound Discoveries on the Other Side

Alvin certainly didn't disappoint! The first thing he said was, “It's not the way we think, we all have different versions of what we think it's like. It’s a feeling more than a place. An awareness of oneness that never goes away." He shared a vivid analogy of being in the center of a huge room filled with exquisite oneness. His primary focus there was to simply soak in that oneness into a "black hole" within his heart, which represented his Soul's lack of connection from past lifetimes. He explained that this feeling of Oneness was far more powerful than anything he'd experienced while striving for enlightenment on Earth. While other souls were sometimes present in his "room," he often chose to be alone, playfully calling himself an "energy hog" as he prioritized healing his heart with this profound feeling.

As our four-way discussion unfolded (between Eleonora, Alvin, myself, and the guides), Alvin revealed a crucial insight about Earth's current low frequency. He described rows and rows of spirit guides and helpers actively intervening for us, beaconing Oneness and other vital frequencies to our planet. Alvin, too, was learning how to participate in this beaconing process. He showed it as a cyclical path: Oneness flowed into his being, healed the "black hole" in his heart, and then cycled outward, beaconing as Oneness from his heart chakra directly to Earth.

Alvin and many others are actively choosing to help raise Earth's frequency through these deliberate beacons. He even mentioned his "Buddha Buddies" in the next "room," who not only mastered beaconing but were now practicing a "Beam of Oneness" to Earth. Alvin is diligently working towards fully healing his "black hole" with the Oneness frequency, aiming to upgrade to the Beaming room himself—a steady stream of energy he isn't yet ready to hold.

A Profound Intervention: Understanding Eleonora's Soul Contract

Isn't this an incredible glimpse into what Spirit can do across the veil? The session took an even more profound turn when our conversation shifted to Eleonora and a perceived block she felt from her Soul regarding spiritual learning. She described buying courses only to feel a strong resistance to engaging with them, struggling to embrace spiritual knowledge.

My guides began to explain that Eleonora's Soul had intentionally "shut down" her spiritual gifts this lifetime, seeking a break after several consecutive lifetimes of experiencing negative karma resulting from exploring these very gifts. Unfortunately, this Soul-level decision was inadvertently choking off the flow of divine energy through Eleonora in her current "Ego costume."

Just as my guides were about to delve deeper, Alvin interjected, "I know why this is happening and what she can do about it!" Alvin went on to tell Eleonora to specifically ask her Soul "to let me experience comfort."

The Divine Right of Comfort

I could feel an immense energetic charge behind Alvin's use of the word "comfort"—it was far deeper than our typical earthly understanding. Alvin explained that Souls understand we, as Ego costumes, have divine rights to certain things. One of these fundamental rights is comfort—the right to feel comfort both within ourselves and from others on Earth.

He revealed that if Eleonora were to speak to her Soul, saying, "I know you don't want to work on others with your special gifts, but please don't choke off the flow so much that you block me from feeling comfort," her Soul would be bound to abide. Wait a minute, Souls can be bound to abide to their Ego Costume?  This was new information!

Unveiling More Divine Rights: Love in All Forms

This insight about "comfort" absolutely fascinated me! I immediately asked Alvin what other divine rights Eleonora had, things her Soul "had" to give her, so she could ask for those too.

Without hesitation, Alvin answered: "love in all its forms." He explained that whether it's love from a friend, a neighbor, a partner, or even a stranger, we all have the inherent right on Earth to experience love in every conceivable manifestation. Again, Eleonora's Soul was choking off this flow—a protective measure against the expression of her spiritual gifts—but as an unfortunate consequence, she was also blocking herself from feeling comfort and love.

Alvin then tried to prompt Eleonora, gently reminding her of conversations they'd shared when he was alive, particularly about the deep internal peace they both yearned to feel. Alvin's excitement was palpable when Eleonora mentioned something Eckhart Tolle had said, resonating deeply with her: "your piece of God flowers on Earth." Eleonora affirmed, "That is what I want to feel!"

The Third Divine Right: Expression of Your Own Divinity

And there it was—the third divine right. Alvin wanted us to come up with the precise wording, and Maureen’s Guides revealed it: "expression of your own divinity." He emphasized that the Soul simply does not have the right to prevent an Ego Costume's expression of divinity. In Eleonora's case, by her Soul trying to prevent her spiritual gifts from coming forth, it was, in fact, directly hindering Eleonora’s own expression of divinity in this lifetime.

Just as this profound truth settled in, my guides popped in with an immediate, practical solution: "She can filter it." They elaborated that Eleonora's Soul can filter aside her specific gifts and yet still allow the pure divine energy to flow through her. This means the Soul can honor its contract for a "break" from practicing specific gifts, while still ensuring the human experience of divine flow, comfort, and love.

Alvin the Great: Sharing His Wisdom

By this point in the session, it was clear Alvin was giving us profound teachings that I knew would benefit my other clients. I immediately sought permission from Eleonora and, of course, from Alvin himself, to share these insights in a blog post. Alvin was absolutely delighted with the idea!

We briefly discussed sharing his full legal name, but Alvin, with his wonderful sense of humor, jokingly declared he wanted to be known as "Alvin the Great" in the blog. It's clear that even as Spirit on the other side, Alvin has not lost his incredible wit and jovial nature.

A Never-Ending Journey: Learning Across the Veil

Alvin truly is great. He was a dedicated student of spirituality while on Earth, and he continues that journey on the other side, diligently working towards Beaming Oneness as his next step. It powerfully illustrates that learning is never truly done, no matter what side of the veil we reside on. Whether we're here on Earth playing this game of life, or in Spirit form across the veil, there is always more to know and more to learn.

What was particularly profound during Alvin's channeling was feeling his immense pride and joy. This wasn't just about experiencing Oneness himself, but actively beaconing it to Earth—not only for everyone, but also for his beloved Eleonora, who continues her learning journey on this planet. His dedication to her and to humanity, even from Spirit, was deeply moving.

A Channel's Expanding Perspective

As a channel for nearly 19 years (this June 2025, yay!), I haven't often had the opportunity to experience such detailed wisdom directly from deceased loved ones. SAM's primary focus, historically, was teaching rather than mediumship. I am absolutely delighted to be extending my learning into understanding the intricate experiences of deceased loved ones on the other side.
