SAM's focus was on guiding Maureen and the clients karmically attracted to her through a profound process of karmic healing and growth. During those 18 years, all clients drawn to Maureen and SAM shared past lives with her, and there was mutual healing and learning to occur for everyone involved. Therefore, SAM's core teachings centered on Essence (your Source Within, your Higher Self), soul contracts, and understanding karma, all to help clients heal past karmic patterns that were hindering their present-day joy and well-being. Often, SAM did not disclose to clients that they had karma with Maureen, or that members attracted to her groups also shared karmic connections. It is only now, after this extensive healing period, that Maureen and others truly understand this intricate dynamic.

Due to SAM's focus on karmic healing, Maureen gently turned away many requests for psychic medium readings for 18 years! This was manageable when Maureen lived in Winnipeg, where numerous other established psychic mediums could serve these clients. Mediumship simply wasn't a priority for SAM, which meant it wasn't part of Maureen's channeled work at that time. If the guides weren't assisting her in connecting with deceased loved ones, she simply couldn't channel them. She accepted that mediumship readings were not a consistent part of her journey then.
