From Educator to Intuitive: Maureen's Unexpected Path
A career as a medium and spiritual channel? Maureen's past self would have dismissed the notion as utterly laughable. With an Education degree, she'd spent years dreaming of being a school teacher, just like she'd seen in her own school days. The thought of leaving teaching to become someone with "woo-woo" abilities? Unthinkable. Beyond belief.
Yet, almost two decades later, here she is. Her journey into channeling began quite by accident—it wasn't something she learned or took a course on. It just... happened. And once it did, though her first thought was to question if she'd completely imagined the experience, she soon had undeniable proof. There was a witness: a client who had come for a BodyTalk healing session (a practice Maureen was certified in during the early 2000s) unexpectedly received a channeled message from Archangel Michael as part of their session. How do you deny something you experience as truth? And what do you do next when clients' friends start calling, asking to speak to Archangel Michael just like their friend did?
This was the clumsy, sudden beginning of Maureen's channeling journey. A whole new world opened up without warning, and she was fortunate to be guided to advice from other channels and relevant books. So, in a way, she did fulfill her childhood dream of being a teacher. As a vessel or conduit for the guides, she now teaches spiritual concepts and helps clients use their own intuition to overcome blocks and stuck patterns. Is this the kind of teacher she imagined becoming? Definitely not. But she's pleasantly surprised by how life has unfolded and wouldn't change a thing.
Meeting SAM: A Grounded Collective
In the first few months, Maureen channeled Archangel Michael and any other guides connected to her clients. Disliking the uncertainty of not knowing who would come through, she asked for her own consistent personal guide. After six months of asking, a new guide appeared during a client session. That was the day she met the collective consciousness known as SAM – Securely Attached to Mankind.
SAM explained they were a group of thousands of guides who had mastered the game of life. They formed a "collective" in thought to teach the same wisdom, functioning as a collective consciousness. SAM was incredibly down-to-earth, known for "telling it like it is." They were particularly interested in working with clients who were already doing internal reflection and genuinely wanted to change, allowing SAM to "give them the goods" even in a first session. The more open a client was to truth and understanding their unconscious blocks, the more enthusiastic SAM was to work with them.
SAM taught Maureen an integrated channeling approach where she remains completely conscious, rather than entering a meditative state or trance. SAM wanted to normalize channeling, viewing it as a simple person-to-person conversation rather than person-to-guide. They always sought to share power in sessions, disliking "blind readings" where clients just listened. Instead, they preferred to ask questions about what a client sought clarity on or what needed a shift, discussing energetic insights and obstacles much like a counselor.
The Next Evolution: Higher Consciousness Guides
In December 2024, after channeling SAM consistently for 18 and a half years, Maureen began channeling new guides. SAM's ultimate intention had always been to "hand over" the teaching reins to even higher consciousness guides once Maureen reached a certain level of learning. They never explicitly told Maureen this, as the original plan was for them to remain alongside the new guides. However, for Maureen to effectively hold the consciousness of these new guides, SAM eventually had to detach.
Maureen has now connected with several new guides, each offering different skill sets. The Higher Ups are the higher consciousness guides Maureen now channels, along with a collective consciousness called the Creation Team. Maureen is a multi-channel, meaning she can channel more than one guide simultaneously. She also continues to call in Archangel Michael and his Fleet, as well as any other Spirit that is for the highest good of the client.
